Liability for Installation Errors

When purchasing a navigation system from DeAutoUnie and having it installed by a third party, it is important to understand how liability works:

  • Installation errors
    If damage to the navigation system is caused by an installation error by the installation company, that company is generally liable for the damage. In this case, DeAutoUnie's warranty does not apply, as the defect is the result of an external error and not a manufacturing or material defect.

  • Contact with Installation Company
    Customers are advised to contact the installation company first in the event of damage resulting from an installation issue. We recommend explaining the situation and asking them if they are willing to cover the repair or replacement costs. Many installation companies have liability insurance for such situations.

  • Warranty conditions
    The warranty offered by DeAutoUnie only covers damage resulting from manufacturing defects. Damage caused by external factors, such as incorrect installation by a third party, is not covered by this warranty.

  • Return Policy
    We only accept returns for products that are in their original condition and show no signs of wear. Returns are accepted within 14 days of receiving your order. Please note that screen protectors must be intact to be eligible for a return.

  • Shipping and return costs

    If shipping costs were free when ordering, return costs are at your own expense.

    Did you pay shipping costs when placing your order? We'll refund those costs. However, you'll still be responsible for the cost of returning the item to us.

How can you register a return?

  1. Send Email
    Send us an email with a copy of your invoice and explain why you're returning the product. Your return will be registered within 1 to 2 business days.

  2. Packaging
    Please repack the product neatly as you received it, and clearly mark the box with your order number and name.

We will refund your purchase amount within 14 to 28 business days, provided the product meets the return policy. (This period applies in July and August due to the summer holidays.)
